Mongolia was by far the most unique place Iv’e ridden. It was the adventure of a lifetime! Bazi, our excellent Mongolian tour leader, had me saddled-up on a beautiful KTM 890 dual sport Gobi Desert killer. It was the perfect moto for the type of riding we did - wide open dirt tracks and open grass lands stretching for miles and miles. Always on the throttle!
And Huushuur! OMG! This was one of the most delicious dishes I’d ever had in my life. Basically, tender beef stuffed into flower cakes and deep fried. The closest proximation to anything else I’d ever had would have to be tacos. So in effect, Mongolia has the best tacos in the world! Sorry Mexico.
The local Mongolian hosts treated us all like VIPs. Definitely the best hosts Iv’e ever had the pleasure to ride with.
Mongolia is an adventure rider’s dream.
