"Obviously I cannot talk for the others, but personally I have to say it was a fantastic trip. You always have to be careful about statements like ‘trip of a lifetime’, but it certainly wasn’t far from that. I kept on having dreams of the trip for weeks after coming home.

First of all I would like to thank you and the whole team again for all the support you provided us in preparing the trip as well as at pick-up and drop off. The information regarding itinerary, hotels (although we did not use all of your suggestions), fuel (luckily no problems here either), and weather conditions (like the wind on the Ruta 40) were spot on.

There was obviously quite a bit of anticipation regarding potential road conditions on the Ruta 40, but throughout we were just incredibly lucky with the weather, especially when taking into account the conditions around the road works on the Ruta 7 before and after Puyuhuapi. Had it rained there, we would have had a lot of fun. And it certainly was physically challenging enough as it was.

The bikes were just great, I would not recommend any other bike for this trip, and were very well prepared, as was the paper work. Your tips regarding crossing the border also worked a treat. We never had an issue. All the hotels we stayed in were top level with lovely people and great service, probably with the one exception of the Estancia Cueva de los Manos. But then the choice in this part of the country is somewhat limited.

And what can I say about the landscape – just stunning, especially in its variety. The road up from Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine, the plains on the Argentinian Side, the drive in and out of Coyhaique, the hotel on the other side of the Fjord in Puyuhuapi, the fantastic empty twisting Ruta 40 leading up to Barriloche and the view across the lake, almost too much to take in. You really got it spot on with your itinerary."
