WEST COAST U.S. MOTORCYCLE RENTALS FOR BACKCOUNTRY DISCOVERY ROUTES & BEYOND

Start your North American motorcycle trips the right way, by avoiding the chaos and traffic of major cities and getting out into the natural setting of the beautiful U.S. Pacific Northwest. Just a 25-minute flight from Portland lies our home base in beautiful Bend, Oregon (RDM airport) and what we believe to be the perfect launching point for some of the best riding anywhere in the world.

Here in the High Desert of Oregon, on the edge of the Cascade Mountains, a nearly endless array of incredible dirt riding surrounds us. The Continental Divide Trail, Pacific Coast, and even the Backcountry Discovery Routes of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and California all surround us. British Colombia, Alberta, and Alaska are just to the north, and California, the Baja Peninsula, and the rest of beautiful Mexico are just to the south. Every type of dual sport adventure riding, paved twisties, long sweepers, and even single-track dual sport options await you in this riding paradise, and that's exactly why RIDE Adventures calls this small town of Bend our home. The chance to enjoy all this, in such an untouched and remote setting, is why we love the Pacific Northwest so much.

Central Oregon is home to plenty of non-motorcycle experiences as well, so if your friends or family would like to come along for a vacation while you're out riding, we have endless hiking, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, climbing, golf, and other outdoors activities to keep everyone busy and smiling without spending hours in the car getting to each activity. If you're focused on enjoying another great riding experience though, contact us and reserve your motorcycle rental, Self-Guided adventure, or one of our Truck Supported Group Trips. Yes, Private Groups are welcome as well!

Yamaha Ténéré 700

Yamaha Ténéré 700

This highly-anticipated "masterpiece of value" has finally been released, giving dual sport adventure riders around the world one more incredible middle-weight adventure bike to choose from. With 73+ smooth, linear horsepower pouring through one of most beautiful exhaust notes out there, the Ténéré 700's unique anti-squat design puts that power into the ground, instead of into the rear shock. The result is one of the best handling, adventure bikes on the market, all backed by typical Yamaha-reliability. Take this agile machine on short trips or long, paved twisties or dirt roads, and know that this may be as close to the "perfect" adventure bike as we have seen in a while. With an attractive entry price, and corresponding rental rate, we expect the number of Ténéré 700's in our fleet operations to grow steadily and remain a factor for a long time.

FAQS

What airport is used for this motorcycle rental location?

These rental bikes are based in Bend, Oregon, just 20 minutes south of Redmond/RDM airport. Direct flights are available from numerous U.S. cities, including Seattle, Salt Lake City, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, and more.

Where can these motorcycle rentals be ridden?

These motorcycle rentals based in Oregon can be used for every Backcountry Discovery Route found in the U.S., plus Canada & Alaska, and all the way down to the Baja Peninsula & Mexico. More may be possible, and such questions can be answered by inquiring with us.

What time of year is best for riding from Oregon?

Riding is possible year-round in Oregon, but our home base in the High Desert of Central Oregon boasts its most beautiful riding season from May through October, with late June through August having virtually guaranteed sunny and dry weather with very comfortable temperatures. These bikes can be used for riding through Canada up to Alaska, and down to southern California for exploring the Baja Peninsula and Mexico.

What type of terrain is available where these bikes are offered?

Every type! These bikes are essentially based in our hometown of Bend, Oregon, and can be ridden from Alaska to Mexico, and possibly beyond (inquire about that.) Within that North American region, every type of paved twisty, sweeping curve, fire road, single track, double track, and much more terrain is all within reach. Contact us for questions about figuring your ideal trip route.

Are these rental bikes in Oregon for Guided or Self-Guided trips?

Both! We'll be posting more options and suggested routes and packages as time goes on, but whether you want to form a Private Group riding package with a Lead Motorcycle Guide and/or Support Vehicle, or your own Self-Guided trip to enjoy with a few friends, we will arrange the type of motorcycle adventure you want. Just remember to book well in advance while we still have availability for your dates.

Can my Self-Guided trip be customized?

Yes! Only Guided Group trip dates, and those which involve our Support Truck being part of the trip have a specific, fixed itinerary. If you see an itinerary on our website that you'd like to alter (make it longer or shorter?) please inquire with us, and we'll help make the ideal adventure ride for you.

Can I just rent a motorcycle, or does it have to be part of a tour package?

Absolutely! If you'd prefer to create your own route, hotels, camping, etc. then the rentals on this page are available at the pricing shown. Please remember: Peak months of May through October here in Oregon can sell-out early, and the only way to confirm your reservation is by 50% deposit toward the rental requested.

What if I want to be part of a group?

That's easy, and you have a couple of options. Either click the Dates button on the one of our Tour Package pages, and see if our scheduled group trips align with your schedule, OR, just form your own grip. Mentioning to friends that you're going to explore the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. by motorcycle, and you're likely to find others wanting to join.

Can I start in 1 location and finish in another?

Yes, one-way rentals are possible, although only confirmable on a case-by-case basis. Keep in mind that until we have other rental locations around the U.S., somehow the costs of receiving and returning the bike back to our home location in Bend near RDM airport, will involve extra costs.
