Since riding his KTM 950 Adventure down to South America in 2008 and launching RIDE Adventures in 2010, Eric now resides in Oregon for most of each year. Riding is still a regular part of his work though, in that guiding tours is a passion he'll always have, and researching new routes and regions allows RIDE Adventures to continue growing and providing reliable travel services to adventure minded riders and travelers from around the world.

Sometimes the most unlikely of places draw the greatest groups of motorcycle riders.  Such was certainly true again this past weekend in the case of the Slimey Crud Run.

Held on the first Sunday of both May and October each year, it seems there’s no clear story of how this event began.  Where it may have originally drawn mostly café racer type bikes, the “anything goes” rule might be responsible for the energy that pulls in 1,000 to 3,000 bikes semi-annually.

Amongst the wild variety of café racers, cruisers, and concoctions, you’ll find characters like Sarah Berg, proud to share her latest tattoo (look closer and see what that familiar shape actually is.)  What about your shirt, Sarah?

Don't expect to see anything in particular if you ever make it to this event, because “variety” seems to be the theme.  Doesn't matter though...with a bunch of motorcycle enthusiasts in one place, a great visit and people to meet are inevitable.  Mark your calendars and check out the Slimey Crud Run website here.
